i dont think that u need to buy sent removers because by now most deer already now what humans smell like either by wind or when putting up stands or checking trail cameras.but if the deer do smell u and they dont see u they arent going to run they are just going to think that a human has been hear. so to me i dont think thatu need to be that worried about scent!!!

I used cover scent and scent-lock coveralls this weekend and I seen 7 deer down wind from me.... All within at least 30 yards... They all walked across the way I walked in and it didn't spook them..... This wouldn't be a big big deal in W. TN but seeing 7 deer in 8 hrs on top of a mountain in E. TN is pretty good....

In reality, a deer is MORE likely to truly spook and run when they SMELL you than even when the see you.
If a deer sees you, and you freeze, they will take a good long time to measure you up and often times, will go back to feeding.
If they smell you, they are gone...SEE YA!

Most everything is a gimic but I do think scent elimination sprays like scent shield do actually work to an extent.

I think the deer can smell the amount of scent within an area and they know if you had been there minutes ago or days ago. I also think that the deer will just go back in the direction that they don't smell the scent which is usually back where they came from.

I am a believer. I think that is the advantage they have over us is their nose so what ever you can do to decieve that will help you. I have hunted with some guys who were always getting busted or just flat out not seeing any deer they were farely new deer hunters. I taught them my sent control methods and they have seen a difference and would have no problem telling anyone how it helped them.

Keep thinking that and be less successful, or be concerned about scent and work hard to reduce your scent and be more successful. Your choice.
