If you shoot the animal you should spend as long as it takes to recover it or until you are sure that you will not find it.

I lost one earlier too it sucks. the one i shot Saturday AM took me a while to find, but i got it done. Good post!

This has to be the most detailed story I've read on here! Sorry you didn't recover the doe. Seems like you have done a lot of work for the future, if you get back in there.

Sure. Why not? Its a cool place and a unique hunt, why not do it right and put some effort into it?

That's way more effort than needed to kill a doe but if it made you happy that's all that matters. For me I have way too much to be done than waste that kind of time and $$ on trying to kill a doe. Now if you were going after a trophy buck I could see all that effort,MAYBE . What you need is a camera to make pics of all that wildlife you see and just leave the bow at home,IMO. Made me tired just reading about it! \:D

Dude you are an honorable hunter and there arent many I know like you. It is nice to know there are some with the drive and dtermination of an Indian Warroir. I had it several years ago for a decade and a half. I dont know that i still have it! You get an ATABOY for your effort. Thanks for sharing. Now what would you different is the question?
