Our fawns this year are probably 50 lbs now and have long lost their spots. The deer here seem to be super healthy with the abundance of acorns this year. Our White oaks are raining acorns right now, and up until now they have had an abundance of Red and Chestnut oak acorns to gorge on. To answer the question, I gage it on how big/healthy the fawns look, and what area im in.

I will. Lot of times the fawns will come back looking for the doe...then shoot the fawn.

The fawn will be fine. Either will survive on its on or it will take up will another doe

Shoot her. I try not to, but have in the past. The fawns always lived. I've seen quite a few fawns by themselves already this year, and they look very healthy.

the does where i hunt know that they get a pass if they have a spotted one with them.

seen 1 doe 3 times now and has 3 fawns with her.

Seen another doe and she she has 2 with her.

they should be about out of spots now so maybe they will show up again.

I let them walk. It just feels like the right thing. But would you shoot a doe that does not have a fawn in toe? What's not to saw the fawn is beded down somewhere close? I have seen some very healthy looking small does this year that have long lost their spots and have seen some that look like they were born within the last 30 to 45 days. very very small with spots.

Never again. The more I watch does and their fawns together, the more sure I am not to take momma out. That's just me though. I don't criticize others for what they do as long as it's legal.

I wont shoot even if the doe has a little one without spots. If there is a little one following her around I just let them go. We argue about this at work all the time. Just my thing, everyone does it diffrent I guess
