I have seen larger when the reds and the whites both hit banner years. Mostly whites this year and most red oaks are light or none at all. Since the whites are heavy most folks think it is a banner anyway. Sure is plenty of the whites everywhere.

I'm in Hardin County and I have seen no white oak acorns. Several red oak acorns, though.

A few reds are almost our only producers. A few Mountain Chestnut as well and a very, very few whites.

ground is covered with reds and pin oak acorns here,,some whites not as many white oak trees here though

Yep weak around mine also. Drought stunted most of ours. Only about half their normal size if that. \:\(
