Anybody hutn or ever hunted in this area. Just found out that a relative has 44 acres there and said I could hunt it. Just wondering what to expect.

my brother lives somewhere in the area. the first year he moved there, deer season MS style was an eye opener. they use dogs and CB radios, spread out across the area and watch for running deer.

All I know about it is that is where the guys were from that made mineral magic. Best "lick" substance I have ever seen.

This place hasn't been legally hunted in 30 years, bad thing is it hasn't been watched too closely in that same time frame. if nothing else I may walk out of there with a few new deer stands. I'm aware of the dog hunting. Same family member had a 348 acre tract not to far from this small tract and I went there a couple of times and encountered a group running a deer. That piece of land got sold though.

Good general area...B&C deer came from there about 7 years ago...many more that never get entered. Even more really good quality bucks that don't get publicized. Wish I had a place to hunt there.

Forgot to mention...it is knda like surfing...locals rule.
Be cautious with your TN ways (and vehicles)...expect several visits from the game warden if your property access doesn't restrict view of your vehicle and is in a somewhat residential area.
