I put out some trophy rock on one side of a deer trail and the Whitetail Institute 30-06 on the other side. They are about 15 ft apart. The results are absolutely amazing. The Whitetail Institute 30-06 side has a hole in the ground about 4 ft across and at least 15 inches deep. The ground looks like it was dug up with a back hoe. The trophy rock side doesn't look like much at all. I had the camera on the trophy rock side seeing how everyone on here raves about it. I got a couple pics of about 5 deer that lick on the rock. I don't think I will waste my time with trophy rock anymore. Seeing the action the 30-06 gets over the trophy rock makes me a believer.

I didn't take pics of the hole. I should have but wasn't thinking about it at the time. Kimberman and I went up to check our cam and we noticed the difference. I won't be back up there until the first day of ML season. I will take pics then.

I didn't have much luck with trophy rock either. I put one out a couple years ago and I don't think anything ever used it. It may have been my fault because I put it within 30 yards of an old salt lick and they kept digging on the old one without putting anything else in it that year.

Not familiar with the "30-06" stuff, is it classified as bait or not? Just a mineral supplement like TR? Thanks.

It's a mineral supplement. Not classified as bait.

Just do what I do....It's in my "little mixture" every year. I LOVE that Imperial 30-06! But I also put a TR with it. The deer tear it up. Something about that combination at my place that the deer cant resist
