I moved as climbing stand to a new location yesterday. today I went in to hunt and found a fresh scrape directly under the stand. I usually wouldnt hunt right on top of a scrape like that but Im afraid to move my stand again in fear of messing it up. Or do I not worry about it and just hunt? Im kinda thinking that I will just leave that stand alone for the next couple weeks and let it settle down before I try to hunt it. Any Ideas or advice??????

A buck made a scrape under the stand AFTER you moved your stand there. Obviously, the stand's presence didn't matter to the buck. Go ahead and hunt it.

I hear pee in it all the time on here, it still blows my mind b/c whenever I try it the scrape goes dead. I guess I have bad pee!
All joking aside, I do believe some people have more "attractive" pee than others. I suspect it has something to do with each person's unique hormone production.

Several years back I went into the woods in the dark and hung my stand in a tree that I have hunted in several times.... Unknown to me there was a scrape right below me. A few hours after daylight the wind was blowing and I couldn't hear a thing.... Something did caught my eye and it was a buck right below me rubbing on the limb above the scrape...... Its not easy shooting straight down with a MZ/scope through brush..... the rest of the story I will save for another day.... I would hunt it....

We used to pull pranks on one of my cousins when they come over during the week of Thanksgiving. We'd find his stands and go kick out a couple of fresh scrapes a few yards near there and also we'd skin up 1/2 saplings with a pocket knife. He'd be so fired up, LOL....it was hard not to bust out laughing.

The funny thing is, he could end up having the last laugh. I did that to a hunting partner once (created a bunch of "fake" rubs with a pocket knife), and within days those "mock" rubs had attracted a lot of deer attention, and bucks began making real rubs to compliment mine. By "faking" deer sign, I had actually attracted deer to the spot so they could add their own sign.

Had a couple guys who would "claim jump" all my spots on a WMA back in FL. They would see my truck then come follow my trails to my stand trees. Everytime I scouted out a new spot, those 2 trucks would be parked there next time I hunted and I would find cigarettes under the tree I had put a bright eye in.
Started running fake trails into saw palmetto flats and putting a bunch of rubs around a tree with absolutely no shooting lanes. Made sure to rub an old shirt or sock on every tree within 20 yards then I would make a massive fake scrape under the stand tree.
Those clowns quit following me and hunting those couple decoy spots everytime they hunted. They must have lost a quart of blood every time they hunted them though... Those saw palmetto are NASTY!
