I am sorry for the loss of your Dad. It hurt me tremendously, too, when my Dad passed. At first, the pain was actually physical. That went away after a few months, but the emotional pain remains. From what I've read, our Dad's passed on the same values to us.
Things will never be the same, but you do find a new "normal." It ages you a bit, though. It's almost been 5 years for me, and now the tears don't come as often (though they still do at the strangest events). The memories are much more pleasing, now.
I hope you get there, too.

Sounds like your dad was great teacher. Teach a young person like your dad taught you and his gift will be passed on.
