Well I got up this morning and went hunting for the first time in about 2 weeks. I haven't been seeing many deer in the mornings in my stand but I knew they would have to shot up eventually. I ran 2 deer off on the way to the stand this morning so I knew they was up and moving. At about 7:05 I seen a deer coming through the woods. I recognized him once I looked at him through my binoculars. It was a smaller 8 point that I had seen hanging out on the opposite side of the property. So I watched him work his way within 30 yds or so and make his way past me and down the ridge behind me. It wasn't 10 min later and I see another deer coming through the woods. It turns out to be a wide 8 pointer that I have cam pictures of, but he went down the ridge away from me. But when I lowered my binoculars this 10 pointer had snuck all the way in on me and was alredy at 20 yds. So I quickly put my binocs down and grabbed my crossbow and got ready. He walked directly at me and turned broadside at 10 yds. Let him have it and he didn't go 50 yds and fell over. Really happy with this deer. He is my first crossbow buck.
