I think his face should be posted. Hes got not right to the deer or to any secrecy. He made the decision he'll be in court, the public should know about him just like a murderer or rapist. Who knows, he might try and get on someones lease or get permission to hunt.
Look at the Johnny Clay photos from the monster he poached in OH last year. Accountability is key. Not saying it will stop it but maybe help a little.

Well, he sure is proud of it.
So he was gonna go in the record books as a sham then live with himself? Must be nice not having a conscience. Well said. I'll never understand the mentality of a thief.
No core values...living a lie is better than whatever they are currently living. But, before we prosecute this guy I'm going to wait and see what their investigation turns up...

Pretty easy to tell the difference between a bow kill and a rifle / muzzleloader kill. You don't have hydraulic shock with an arrow, so just check the wound channel or the area just inside the entrance or exit hole for bloodshot flesh.
Hydrostatic shock.

Has this hit the news yet? I'd like to see a link when it does.
Not questioning easy in one bit, but it seems to be a regular thing that someone is guilty before proven innocent.
Unfortunately, I have been accused of hunting illegaly (proven wrong in court), and perhaps jumped to conclusions without knowing all the facts with some members of this forum.
It's just hard to conclude either way based on this post. Only rumor at this point.
If the man is guilty, throw the book at him. If not, it was one heck of a kill.
I do agree with the statement that it would be a slap in the face to have a pic with the bolt in the antlers if it wasn't legal, much less to live with a lie, but that hasn't been proven yet.

I've been told that there is a test that can be performed by WO to conclusively prove the presence of gun powder residue. If I remember correctly, they sprinkle a substance on the wound and it turns green if the hole has powder residue. Even after the hide has been removed.
