Well this morning I parked my ATV 100 yards down wind of my stand and promply got posted about 5:30. 6:am snorting starts 100 yards down wind of me. So I know a doe has spotted my ATV.
Why? Well it's where I'm parked for one and does will typically stand in one place and snort until the cows come home where a buck will typically blow once or twice and then get out of dodge. So..she blows and blows. Then I see another LARGE doe hop the fence in front of me and travel straight to where the other one is making all the racket. Before you know it...both deer are blowing and this continues for 20 minutes. I...needless to say am quite fed up with this, but know better than to quit and climb down. Long story short, 10 minutes after the blowing stops the deer start coming in...in 45 minutes I have 9 deer give me ample opportunity, but this year I am passing on all antlerless...so they got a free ride. Just wanted to share this story to remind some of you that blowing...doesn't mean your hunt is over. Keep the faith yall!

Thanks for the tip...I thought if they blew the hunt was pretty much over.

Why not? I killed a nice 8 point 10 yds from my ATV couple of years ago

I have see them snort at house cats for what seemed like 30 min.
After the cat didn't seem too impressed and yawned a little bit,
the deer were back to normal.
What a let down. I guess they thought they could get a reaction
out of the cat.

most of the time, they don't know what they are blowing at. i have a call and blow back at them. or a turkey call. both will usually calm the deer down.

Sounds neat HOOK...it's cool to have activity goin on around you, no matter if'n it is just does....sure keeps ya awake...hehe
