Anyone ever saw a deer that was just a runt or a midget. I'm pretty sure I saw one today. This deer acted like a mature doe and in no way did it act like a fawn. The deer with her was a little bigger and I think it might have been her fawn. The runt was in her fall grey coat and the bigger was in it's tan coat. Not sure but I might have saw a couple spots still on the bigger one's hind-quarters. Is this possible??

Interesting you mention this. I killed what I now call a "runt deer" last weekend. When I was checking her out and preparing to pull her teeth everyone was discussing whether or not she was a early born fawn this year or a late born fawn last year. I was actually getting a lot of slack over it, my buds were ribbing me pretty good....UNTIL we pulled her teeth. Based on teeth wear, she was 2.5. I looked at the guys and said I got the runt. She had a small frame, the darker winter coat and dressed 50lbs.

That's awesome! This deer would dress between 40 and 50 lbs. Her head and ears just had a full grown doe look but she was just tiny. The bigger deer with her had small ears in comparison.

I killed two deer at Lake Barkley State park in KY one year. They were 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 respectively.
They weighed 82 and 78 pounds.
Looked like freaks. Even their ears were little.
Game wardens were freaking OUT about how big they were. Strange.

Yes, for a couple years straight I had this doe that was so short that her tail nearly drug the ground. I saw her a lot those two years, pretty cool.
