Wine, preserves, ointment for cold sores, deer food, possum attractant. Persimmons. Eat one, they are good. The green ones are very good It's good to see you back to form BW.

Hang and stand and get to it man! Those are worth their weight in gold during bow season.

Becarefull not to set up too close and spook em. I'll bet they will be traveling in the drainage ditch for cover. Anywhere with in shooting range that you can see inside the ditch and/or the tree should be good.

One word of warning-deer don't always eat persimmons. I have no idea why but some years they won't touch them. Before you hang a stand, check closely for fresh sign.

Funny you mention that because there were all kinds of them on the ground and they looked almost untouched. There are actually 2 or 3 trees close to one another and all them are loaded so I figured I'd find some scat, clean trails, or something. It's veeeeery thick outside this ditch so when I hunted it last week I was about 35 yards from one of the trees but I was also right in the ditch because that's the only place there was a big enough tree to hang my stand on. I need to go buy a camera and hang it somewhere close to there and see if they're coming through or using them.
