We use to have a bunch of us get together for lunch if someone killed one that morning. Since we usually processed them ourselves, one backstrap was dedicated for lunch between 4 or 5 of us. Loaf of white bread, along with some flour,oil,and a skillet, that was our break before going back into the woods that afternoon.

There is a simple way to tenderize tenderloins. Take a 4-pronged for and stab toh sides exactly 106 times.
