Where do you find unscented Tide detergent? [/quote] Kroger, Tide Free is unscented.

I've killed deer down wind of me before. I strive to hunt up wind from deer, but sometimes on the property I hunt I can't get an ideal stand location.
Does anybody think the hunting the wind is a little over rated? NO,the only way that happened is that either the wind carried your scent over,or around the deer.
A very interesting time in the woods is when those floaty things,I think off milk weeds start coming out, they go up,down ,left and right.Just like the wind does.

Don't pay the big bucks for scent control. Buy Tide free unscented deodorent and use unscented soap, its cheap and it works. if you smell, the deer smell you, period. But being smelled does not guarantee the deer will run. It all depends on the intensity of the scent. In addition, many of the scent-reduction products have proteins in them that either break up or bind with scent molecules to change their shape thus not trigger molecular scent receptors.
your right BSK I have shot deer that blowed at me but circled back around to see what they smelled I guess I have not tried anything but that routine for about 5 years. I have used the sportsmen soap but now just unscented dove soap on hair to any time I have tried cover scents such as acorn or fox pee I spooked deer. I do use the spray after I dress and get to stand. My routine could definatly be tuned up as I am a firm believer in scent control. I guess I could try some new products but I hate spending the money.
