I don't know for sure, but I've noticed that my evening hunts have been better for seeing action.

Agreed, and for some reason I think I have better luck fishing in the evening too.

It could be a number of things. Deer hunting would be easy if the deer did the same thing day after day and traveled the same route everyday. You just have to stay after them and adapt to their patterns if they decide to shift or change it up.

I'd blame it on Obama! He's screwed everything else up!

I've heard by several different deer publication authors that evening hunts are more productive in the early season.

I definitely see more in the evenings milling about in fields while driving around my area, and I usually see more in the evening/afternoon when I'm in my stand. It seems like I see more bucks on the evening hunt than the morning. I am sure there are others, though, who have it completely opposite. they could just be sleeping in?

Don't knock hunting mid day right now. They have been all over the place between noon and 2 pm.

I have seen the exact opposite on my property. We've had as many as 6 ppl out on the evening hunts and no one has seen anything. I love the evening hunting but it just hasn't been working for us so far. Maybe from all the afternoon traffic at my house???
