Ok just like most places probably, my honey hole is eat up w doe and I rarely see a buck. By gun season the deer are MUCH more attentive. Should I go ahead and hammer it now or wait it out and be patient? BTW there are other hunters on the properties SURROUNDING where I am.

I guess it just depends on what you want out of it..Im sure if you take it easy, the other hunters could pressure the deer on their land and cause the deer to use your property more..But it is hard to pace yourself..I know..LOL

Hunt when you have time. Sure, you will pressure the deer a little and probably see less deer for a while, but you have to hunt when you have the chance. If you have more than one place to hunt, rotate it. If you only have one farm, stay out of parts of it for a while and sort of work different parts on a rotation based on wind. I hunt a small property but I have stands spread around that are good for certain winds, it gives me options and it allows me to rest parts of the farm from time to time.
When the chasing phase of the rut kicks in, all pressure arguments go out the window with everything else anyway. Then its all about being out there and hoping your end up in the right place at the right time.

If your wanting to buck hunt it during the rut Id wait until the rut to hunt it. I hunt doe areas now and about mid oct I hunt buck areas when the weather is right.

I say save your honey holes for later. Right now, the deer haven't been pressured hard and we have a window before the lull. I say back off and hit some other spots. Your individual hunts may be less exciting, but you long term hunting will benefit.

I don't know how big your hunting land is, but I'd recommend if you hunt real often....to mix it up and use different stands.
If you hunt the same area/same stand, and the deer there are patterned, and certain groups come thru around the same general times and from the same directions each day, it won't take long before they'll be picking up on your scent, and you'll see them gradually start changing thier trail and patterns to avoid that area. It is a very small area. In the very late season I can see all perimeters...almost. I do change up some when they pick me up or when they travel different. It is on top of a small ridge that has several other ridges that meet up. Kind of a travel hub.

That sounds just like my place. It's 25 acres, and I have the deer patterns there down pat.
They filter thru between 8:30 to 10:30 always traveling in the same direction coming from the bedding areas. Even doing everything I can do to keep down my scent, They catch on fast if I go more than once or twice a week. Then if I end up shooting one out of the bunch, and they see me.....then they are looking for me just as soon as they are in view of my tree

If you are hunting a area that small, you need to back off big time until it counts. I would go hunt some public land during the early season.
