So, he has no ownership rights whatsoever to any of the property? He would need to abide by your rules and standards to hunt it then I would think.

Well your talking "Family Land" so I'm going to assume his parents own part of it too. So I'm going to ask this. Is he hunting on your PARENTS property or on on his or his PARENTS property? From what you said you love your cousin and he may be a little lazy (along with your brother) but did you ask him to help? I ain't trying to be an [censored]. I hunt "FAMLIY LAND" too and just like yours our place is split up. Just saying if he's on his own place or his parents own place it's no diffrent than someone hunting a deer trail to thier neighbors food plots.

Yes but he also said his parents own the land and so I'm assuming he has no ownership rights either. If his parents give permission it's just tough luck.

Listen...I know how you feel. But, a close friend and cousin is not worth losing over deer hunting. I am as much of deer hunting fanatic as anyone, but I would recommend you just let him kill what he wants and enjoy the time with your cousin. Him killing one or two young bucks every year is not going to decimate your herd. Continue to educate him along, keep telling him it's best to let the little bucks walk...he will probably (hopefully) catch on after awhile.
This is good advice IMO a couple of deer shouldn't come between family.

It's all about respect.
If he does not respect you or your family's land enough to go by your rules, then tell him to go somewhere else.....imo.
it's not about deer hunting as much as it about him disrespecting you and your family's wishes...imo.

X3. At the end of the day, he who OWNS the land makes the RULES. The rest of us either abide by the rules or do not hunt. That is how I see it whether I own the land or I am the guest. It works both ways.

Blood is thicker than water brother ,It is only a stinking deer I f he had not shot it someone around the area would have, Don't make yourself miserable over something you are supposed to be enjoying. Just set him down and have a talk with him,And get back to hunting You can't bring the deer back now anyway
