Anything 2.5 and up is available for harvest under QDM. Lots of individuals choose to up it even further. I personally would definitely shoot that deer.

Your best chance at accurate aging would have been last year when he was either 2.5 or 3.5. It's more difficult to tell the difference between 3.5 and 4.5, but once he puts on some muscle it might be more apparent. He is certainly mature and would qualify as a shooter for almost anyone.

I would shoot the deer you are asking about, and not hesitate for a second. FWIW I am probably one of the pickier deer hunters on this forum, and that deer meets my standards for this state.

I am pretty picky I believe and I am fine with not shooting a buck all yr and I would definitely shoot him. I believe he is 4.5

It all depends on what your QDM goal is. Each property will have a different goal, from 2 1/2 on up. If your goal is mature bucks (4 1/2+), that buck would qualify.
