Me and a buddy went to Illinois this past weekend to carry up some stands to put up and did a little scouting to get familiar with the place. We found all kinds of sign and several new rubs! Never hunted Illinois before but from what I can tell it's going to be a great hunt and I can't wait! I'll gladly take any advice any of you have for me cause it's not what I'm use to hunting.

Your likely in for a treat! When are you going to hunt? I plan to be in Pike co. Nov 5'th thru the 14'th Be prepared to see a lot of deer and some really pretty bucks per age class, most 2.5 yr olds will be what you would normally shoot here, be patient as you will have a legitament chance to kill a super buck, with any luck!

Im going November 19 thru the 21 and December 10 thru the 12. I've never used a shotgun deer hunting but I figure 3 shots is better than one with a muzzleloader.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can have three in the tube and one in the chamber. It's fun with the slugs but you definately can't reach as far

How far can you tipically shoot a shotgun and it still be accurate?
