I wouldn't get too excited about it right of the bat, unless you hear shots and then see someone dragging a deer with a rifle slung across their back... Might just be somebody shooting at something legal, or maybe checking their scope zero well ahead of the rifle season.

They could be doing any number of things. I wouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions though. I do a lot of target practice with my rifles during bow season. Just because you hear a gun doesn't mean someone is poaching deer.

Like said earlier, unless you see it with your own eyes you never know. Everyone has heard what happens when you assume...
After seeing 6 coyotes yesterday I plan on taking my rifle to the woods this evening, I'm sure surrounding hunters will think I'm poaching when in fact I'm helping everyone out.
