field dressing a deer today my son noticed a worm on the inside of the hind leg up close to the belly after I had pulled the guts out. the guts hadnt been cut,found no other worms. The worm was white, flat, 3 inches long. should we be concerned about consumption. Thanks

I prob wouldn't worry about it, all the cattle you eat have some sort of parasites. just clean and cook meat well.

I shot one last year that had one. Here's an article about abdominal worms. They're harmless to the deer and to humans.
