I hadn’t seen any deer, and only a couple squirrels, from daybreak to 7:30. So, I did some calling on my fawn bleat.
About 5 minutes later I saw some movement, and a very large blonde-colored Bobcat came my way. I got out my new video camera and struggled to get it turned on and focused on the bobcat before he got out of range. I found him in the screen when he was about 30 yards away, walking along a logging road. He walked through two shooting lanes, and I got great views of him head to 5-inch tail. He looked huge! He’s the first bobcat I’ve seen in the wild, but he looked like almost as big as my son’s lab.
I kept the camera focused on him until he disappeared in the brush downwind of me. Then I punched the Pause button, and the little red Record button appeared on the screen.
DOOO!
You’ll just have to believe me.
BTW, Davidson county less than a mile from Nashville city limits.
BTW II, I didn’t see any deer. I went and pulled the card on a trail camera in front of another of my stands, and there was a young 8 pointer hanging around at the same time as I was seeing the Bobcat. Since I wouldn’t have shot that young deer, I’m glad I sat where I did.

Funny, had the same thing happen to me this morning. I had not seen a thing all morning and around 8:45 down a 4 wheeler path not 20yards from me is a bobcat. First one I have seen while hunting. It wasnt very big, but atleast I finally got to see some type of animal other than a squirrel.
