I have a question about the landowner license exemption rule. I am currently over in Afghanistan, but I got it so that I am able to take vacation during the first two weeks of firearms season this year. Since I have been over here, I have purchased 47 acres of property, but I am going about it thru owner financing. I do have paperwork that is notarized and a legal contract stating that I am purchasing the property. The property is zoned agricultural, and is half hay pasture and half wooded. Would I qualify for the landowners exclusion, or would this not be the case since the deed to the land is not in my name yet? Thanks all, happy hunting!!!

I am no longer covered under the military leave rule, I am deployed over here as a civilian contractor now.

you will need the tract number of the property and you can find it with a trip or call ( if they are good in the office) from the local DA office. That is all you need....or at least all I needed last year.
