They have been moving evrywhere it seems. I'm sure that will change when they remeber it's hunting season again

If you can do it (I can't anymore) it would be a good idea to stay in the stand all day. They will move sometime during the day I'm thinking. The heat will be rough though.

Exactly!!! Moon guide has best times this weekend from 2:20--3:30pm They will be munching on acorns while you are munching on a sandwich at the truck. I'm going to stay put!! good luck!!!

Excellent advice for full moons when there is rutting activity going on, or if it is cool weather, but when the temps are in the 80's, you are better off hunting early and late and leaving the midday for mad dogs and Englishmen, in my opinion.

It's not pleasant to sit in the heat, but I know for a fact in a full moon situation the deer will move usually around midday. But, to each his own.

The problem is, it is very possible to stink up an area so bad that you will be doing more harm than good when it is this hot.

Sure, deer may move (but they sure won't move as much when it is this hot), but if you sweat like I do, you will be spooking more deer than you will see.

But you do have a point. You sure can't kill one if you aren't there.

I don't do any midday hunting this early in the year though, as a general rule.
