Don't give up on a lease just because they are select cutting.There was a time the only land I had permission to hunt was my Uncles Timberland. It may throw them off when they 1st start cutting .Later on they get used to it and settle down.I have got out of the truck to walk in and walked up on deer watching them cut.Late season the tree tops and brush piles are great hiding places for deer. It ani't over till it's over. Good Luck to Ya !!!

another reason why i refuse to pay for a lease.
I don't want to but ain't nobody letting people just hunt around here anymore
