I have been getting a pie bald buck on camera this week.

He does not have the nicest rack on him but i think he would still be a pretty mount.

How frequent do people see pie balds this is my first one ever

What do you mean, "shoot or don't shoot"?

If you want to shoot him, shoot him. You don't need advice for that.

As to how common they are, they are fairly common. I have seen several. Much more common than black, (melanistic) or albino.

I have never seen one in the wild. I would probably have to relax my personal standards for antlers in order to have a trophy like that. They must not be common at all where I hunt. I see a few pictures each year of piebald harvests, but not very many.

I have only seen one piebald doe in the wild, but it was not while hunting. Had a doe with white patches on the backs of its ears that I saw several times last year, but I wouldn't consider it a piebald.

I would let it walk because I only keep euro mounts. Be neat to have some really cool pics of one though.

Sounds like you would be happy if you were able to harvest him. My advice would be not to ask for others opinion. What will make my season a success may not be what makes yours. Good luck

They make a beautiful mount. If you want to kill it, then by all means do so. I have seen several, but have never killed one. if i ever get the chance i will kill one on the spot.

My father shot a piebald buck and had a full mount done with him standing near a fence. Beautiful.

They are not very common at all, sure some exist but few people will ever see more than a handful in a lifetime of hunting. I would love the chance to kill one, and would at first opportunity, their definitely very unique! I have only ever saw 3 or 4 myself and only 1 from a stand.
