I have. I have had them open when I picked the broadhead up to look at it.

Johnny I asked this question earlier and I got about 60 responses, so hang on, because people will weigh in. my conclussion after reading all the repsonses was shoot a fixed head out of the crossbow, due to too much force.

I shoot a fairly fast crossbow and so far I have yet to have a spitfire open in flight. I know it's not the broadhead you asked about, but I highly recommend them.

I have been shooting three blade for the past three years. I have not had any problems with premature deployment. You must use care when re-inserting the blade back behind the o-ring. I use a sharp pointed object (like a tooth pick) to push the o-ring down, then en-gauge the blade. This will ensure that the blade is fully seated behind the o-ring. Also, once you shoot the broadhead you must replace the o-ring. The o-ring will be partially cut allowing the blade to deploy before its time. I have taken 7 deer with the rage and I have lost one. The one was a poor shot on my part. I love the three blade!

A good fixed blade head will remove all doubt and all chances for failure!

Well thanks for all the info, it almost sounds like a muzzleloader-you have to find out what works for you.
