This is going to be my first year hunting in TN and I was wondering if y'all could let me know your opinions about the best attractant to use this year. I'm going to be going after meat this year (does or bucks) ... whatever shows up first. I've read a little about acorn scents on here, but haven't been able to find much else. I'm interested in actual brands and types. Thanks for your help!

Bud if I was you I wouldn't waste my money on that stuff. Just get in the woods, do your scouting and hunt accordingly. Most of the stuff(or maybe all of it) you buy is a gimmick to get your money.

The best attractant this time of year is whatever they are eating, which in most areas will be Acorns for the next month or so. Then the best attractant will be the hot Does, after that it will be back to the preferred late season food source in your area. Dont waste your money elsewhere!!!

Thanks, Kenbob. Wasn't sure if it was worth it, but I'm all for keeping my money in my wallet. I grew up hunting in Texas where you can hunt right next to your feeder if you wanted, so we never really used scents.

Personally, the best deer attractant I've seen are headlights on a moving car. Nothing brings those deer in faster than SPLAT.
