Does anyone besides me still use a compass?

I do not, if I'm in need of one then I'll use the hands on my watch.

I use a GPS with map (routes and points preplugged). I always have the compass as a backup. Even carry two or three or four compasses, real compass, watch, one on the thermometer and one on my grunt call.

I use a GPS loaded with 24k topo maps as my primary means of navigation but do carry maps and a compass just in case. The compass in mainly for checking wind direction for stand placement.

yes still carry one. Even though I use a gps in areas I dont know. I still look at the compass before I head into the woods. You never know when the gps might quit working or forget to turn it off and batteries run down. The compass is aleays there.

A compass can be a valuable tool in blood trailing. Also blood trailing can be the single most valuable tool in scouting.

I carry one...to check wind direction in hollows and just basic peace of mind. Carry a GPS to "ping" spots of intrest as I go.

My compass is always in my pocket. Its pretty helpful in swaps and thickets where I am new. Its much quicker for quick directions than my gps. I still love my gps and use it often.

I primarily use a GPS, but always carry a compass as a backup. Batteries could die, GPS could crash, or I could unknowingly drop it somewhere.
Admittingly, I have many stands that I could only find with my GPS. I'm deer hunting several new areas this year and many stand locations that I have only visited twice: initial scouting and mid-late summer pruning.
I may not be able to find these stand locations in the dark with a compass, but I could find my way back to my truck if I had to.
