I usually use a bottle simply because I don't want any type of scent attracted to my tree but have done it from the stand mostly during gun season !

Pee it will not effect anything. I hunt high pressure public land and it does not effect those deer. If it doesn't effect them then it will not effect any deer IMO.

I've pretty much killed a 6 or 7 foot cedar tree the is about 3 foot from the base of my favorite stand. I don't use it to mask the pee scent as much as I hit it to filter noise.

Didn't believe in it till I started peein in scrapes then puttin my deer camera up. Wow, the deer really come use the scrapes then. Now I let'er rip. Tomtaker has a bunch of pics also from doing that.

After my little experiment I say pee. I had a little 5pt in front of me for over two hours. He wouldn't leave and I had no idea why if or when he would. So I did my thing. He heard the sound and got up to see what it was. Walked right up and smelled my spot. Not holding it any more.

Well the vote is pretty lopsided to lettin it fly.... Matter of fact after BSK's post, I'm gonna make a mock scrape after I climb down saturday morning and put my trail cam where I can monitor my mineral lick and my scrape. Im really looking forward to this!!
