What a great question.
I'll have to go with BSK on this one though, except this ONE P/Y buck. I had been walking through a group of persimmon trees and happened to spot a 130 class on the opposite ridge. After he left, I went over there and found his hidey-hole. I devised a game plan and marked the best wind direction. 3 days later, when the wind was right, I made my move before daylight. After only 30 minutes on stand that morning he showed up. I only saw his legs first as the yellow maple trees blocked my view to his body and rack, but I KNEW it was him and readied for the shot. At 27 yards I bleated him to stop and sent the arrow on its way. Just before impact he squatted just a hair and the arrow made a loud crack as it hit bone.
I WAS SICK and still think about this shot REGULARLY as I practice for the upcoming season.
It certainly was not nearly thie biggest buck I've arrowed, but I HATE that I injured the animal and did not make a clean kill.

where do i start, first i missed a 140" 10pt during muzzle loader in probably 1996...the shot was 120 yds and I was standing holding the gun freehanded, in 1998 I had a 150" 8pt at 15 yds and couldn't pull my bow back....i was pulling 86 lbs and it was 18 degrees outside....i watched him walk behind a thorn tree and snort wheez before he took off, same year I missed a 145" 10pt 2 days in a row in different stands....given I was shooting lights out in practice but both shots were very odd, the worse memory I have was grazing the belly of a 180" 12 pointer at 35-40yds....I thought I drilled him because he high kicked like a heart shot....he was on the move and I shot through a 2 foot opening in the brush, my buddy missed him a few weeks later at 10yds with a rifle LOL!!! later that year I took the 51 pointer and all these deer where in Gallatin TN
Ive had my fair share of mistakes but I have no room to complain

173" typ Buck I jumped one weekend in WA. Dam smart [censored] Buck belly rolled away from his bed & all I could see was his huge rack behind a bush that was in front of him 20 yds away from me. My hunting buddy jumped him again in same spot the next weekend (I could not hunt that weekend) he ran--perfect getaway again of course, and a young kid (after stopping I guess)shot him riding in the back of a pickup. Scored that year at the local Sportsman Show.
A few 150" range also here and there wile stalking.

Fort Campbell a few years back. The biggest one I have seen on stand went running by about 60 yards out. Big 10 or better. That was in Area 51.

214 with 28 scorable points. Hunting buddy ended up killing him during rifle. All I saw of him was during bow season a 100 yards away. And yes TN deer.

Dark chocolate antler 10 pt about 150 - 160 inch. Was using my recurve. I actually shaved hair from his underside but did not cut him what so ever. Great experience and saw 3 P&Y bucks and even a doe being bred. One of my greatest days afield.
Worst day ever area 26 on Ft Campbell, 40 ft up in a pine tree was the only way to see thru the understory. Another big 10 about 140 inch but a 200lb 'ish body. Shot him withe a 300gr Shockwave and knocked him off his feet. I was so excited I didn't even reload. I turned around in the stand and got ready to climb down and that sucker let out a moan almost like a scream. Got up. Walked away with my ML down on the [censored] ground and unloaded. I nearly threw up. Biggest body deer I ever shot too. General consensus was I hit him way high. Getting sick again just thinking about it.
