Depends what time it is and how hot it's gotten. Not real close to a place to get it broken down and cooled if it's to hot. BUT that may all change when something walks out in front of me!!!

Well I will tell you from my experiances this year the heat has no real effect on the way deer are moving right now. I have seen deer out moving at all times of the day this week at my farm. And when I made a trip to fort campbell this week we seen deer all the way from the check in station to the area. And seen deer moving before we got out of the truck early afternoon. And one of the guys I was hunting with killed his 5.5 year old 10 point at 4:20 that afternoon. And I killed my 5.5 year old 8 point at 7:05 that afternoon. And when we got to the truck at dark the temperature was still 88 degrees.....down from 94 from when we went into the woods.

So don't think just because its really hot the mature bucks aint up and moving. And to answer the question since I have already killed a 130" 8 point already I will probably be waiting on something bigger. Unless someone I find wants some deer meat then I might take a shot at a doe.

Need a south wind to hunt our bucks.

Supposed to have scattered storms and a north wind. If the weather man is right, a big doe is in real danger...
