You need to think about whats going to happens when "Your Dad's Friend's Brother" sells the land... It will happen in time. Think about leasing, joining a club, or buying land, I know there are many members on here that would be glad just to hunt under your conditions.

A person may not be able to "manage" 95 acres, but if you don't shoot the little bucks, then atleast they live to see another day. Talk with people that border the property and explain to them what you've been doing and your plans. Feel them out to see if maybe they let little bucks walk and it'll make you feel a little more comfortable letting them walk. then explain to your friends you hunt with that the neighbors are letting little bucks walk as an effort to gain bigger bucks. Maybe pull some articles of magazines and show how big a probem to the heard, that many does in an area actually are. Just a thought to maybe help.

Your game and there game arent the same game. You have 2 very different needs that wont be resolved on 90 - 100 acres of land. Not everyone hunts to kill older, larger racked bucks. Television hunting has turned the sport into something that it wasnt designed to be. Im not saying that is good or bad it just is. Hunting was a way to provide food. Then it became a sport. Now it has become a game to see who can get a deer with the most inches of antler. Those gentlemen are at step 2. You at step 3. <shrug> Neither is wrong but I dont see a compromise.

I have always seen these post, but I actually just sat and read almost 90% of this post and boy oh boy from the outside looking in, this is a "Cut-throat" topic huh..LOL. I want to say maybe too many chiefs and not enough indians, but I dont think that would really sum it up..LOL. Rather your killing monster 150 class booners or an awesome 3 pt, we are all doing exactly what we LOVE to do, HUNT and this is the main picture! WE are dang lucky to have saturday and the rest of the year for that matter. I am neither a trophy hunter nor a cull hunter. I take whatever tweaks my trigger finger, and no matter what hits the ground rather is brown or my arrow, in the end Im happy that God lets me even be a part of this great fun we call HUNTING! If you havent noticed, Saturday is called bow HUNTING season. According to the great knowledge Wikipedia, HUNTING is the practice of pursuing living animals (usually wildlife) for food, recreation, or trade....so with that being said and my first post on one of these crazy threads..lol I say just make sure your having fun and enjoying yourself and if your not, pull your big girl panties up and start having fun somehow.....lol I want to make the analogy: rather your shooting a 3pt or dunking the ball they both can win the game..haha. and there is probably so many pages to this thread that no one will even see my post haha..because I almost didnt read all the way to the end myself
