If wind is blowing slightly, I move a little more. If it's a dead calm I am as still as possible.

Might as well be filming an action movie in my tree. To many pockets to go through, Little debbies to eat, binos to look through, droping stuff & trying to fish it up with draw string, gettin shed of morning coffee, all kinds of stuff going on up there. The sleeping that is done....... well that may be for another thread.

A deer's nose is amazing, but their ability to pick up movement is nearly as amazing, even on windy days. A deer has grown up thru alot of windy days, and it seems they can pick out unnatural movement, even with the leaves and limbs moving.

I try to move like they do in the TV shows.....You know turning around around 2 or 3 times to face the camera talking about the deer that they continually wave their arms pointing at while it's 50 yards away. I figured if they can do it and kill deer I can too....
Seriously, I get up and stretch every once in a while. That's usually when I see flags and hear them blow.

I move more than I should, could be why I did not kill a deer last year!
Opening morning last year, been in the double stand since about 5:30. About 9:00 I decide to prop my leg up on the shooting rail. 45 seconds later three does walk in front of me at about 20 yards. I am stuck, can't draw my bow like that. As soon as I tried to get my leg down they all busted me. Learned my lesson the hard way!
