I know some already know where they are headed.

how are the rest of you deciding?

I have been writing down different spots that come to mind.

the night before I'm going to look at the weather and see what wind direction it calls for and pull out of a hat.

Of corse if the wind is wrong I get to draw again.

what do ya'll think?

I'm hoping for either a W/NW or SE wind.
As of right now, Weather Channel is predicting a W/NW for Friday and then shifting to a N wind on Saturday. A straight North wind is going to cause me some problems for opening weekend.

Though, it looks like we'll be cooling down next weekend. A chance of rain makes things even better in my book.

A North wind would be great for my AM opening morning set-up! Sorry Poser!

Waiting to see what the wind, and some Oak (read that... acorns) Trees do before Saturday.

Either way and Lord willing, I'll have a buck and two does on the ground by last light! ;\) (never has happened before, you you just never know). \:D

Find a dominant tree. Climb a tree on the downwind side of it.

Got 3 picked out within 150 yards of each other. might not decide until a take the long walk. Wind does not play a factor as deer have come from every direction in this spot. Having a hard time making it through the day can not imagine what next friday is going to be like

Im in the same boat. Got mine narrowed down to two trees. I think I'll be between bedding areas and the oaks.

A lot will definitely change between now and next weekend. If you can narrow your choices down to a couple locations and go back on Thursday or Friday and do a quick check of them for the most/freshest sign, that would be ideal. If not, I'd go with my gut for Saturday morning, then get down after the morning hunt and scout out the best spot for Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

I just hope the mid 90's temps will go away before the weekend.
