It's only 38 acres, but it joins WMA property on one side and farm land all around it. The fellow that owns it is my grandpa's good friend and I didn't even know he had it until a few weeks ago. I know there are deer and turkey all over the place out there, but I haven't set foot on it yet. From the aerial photo's it looks pretty awesome. I see some little hidden fields and what might be some good little funnels to set up on if it's not too thick.
The property is highlighted in green. Road frontage to the west, WMA is on the south and southeast border, and private property to the north. Also, you can see in the picture the river is only a few hundred yards to the south.
Any opinions???

I'd think the pocket of woods bordering the WMA on the Southeast would be a hot spot with public pressure to your advantage. Also looks like you have a potential funnel on the very East corner along the creek.
That being said, the primary field is going to cause you some problems on your approach. You're going to need to get past that field in the dark without spooking the deer. It might make sense to approach the propert through the WMA.
I hunt a property that's about 50 acres, but only 300 yards wide. It too has a primary field that makes approaches extremely difficult. I stick to the hedgerows best I can.

If the borders aren't well marked between you and the WMA, I would make sure there are some signs put up. That way you will bump into fewer uninvited guests.
