Just a little note about my experiences with the "improved" breach plugs offered for the Encore by some companies...
A few years ago, I got sucked into the hype about the breach plug that converts the priming system for the black powder Encore from a shotgun primer to one that ignites the charge with a small rifle primer loaded into a 32ACP brass. The claims purport cleaner shooting and better accuracy, in that a shotgun primer is "too hot", pushing the charge forward in the chamber, affecting accuracy and also allowing blowback of dirty gases.
Well, they do shoot cleaner. Definitely so. And, they might be more accurate. It performed great on the range for me. But, I was swabbing the barrel after every shot on the range. The problem comes in when you're in the field, and you have a second shot at another deer. I've been in that lucky position twice since I got the "improved" breach plug, and both times, the second shot wouldn't go off, even after 5 or 6 new primers.
I thought it was a fluke the first time, but the second time convinced me that the small rifle primer wasn't hot enough to blow thru the first shot's residual fouling in the breach plug ignition hole.
So, I'm gonna ditch it for this year and go back to my original shotgun primer breach plug. Anyone wanna buy it?

Smart man, I have used both type ignition systems in the past myself, and the shotgun primer gets the nod, much more dependable in all situations!
