I have a muzzleloader that has been loaded since last year. Should I try to shoot it to unload it or take the breech plug out and unload it that away?

I'd take the breech plug out and just push the load out the end of the barrel..What kind of ML is it?

Just cleaned mine the other day. It has been loaded for two years. No problem. I have never been able topush a load out the muzzle end, always took it out through the breech.

Out of my CVA Kodiak,I'll always take the breech plug out and push the load out instead of shooting it and wasteing a bullet and powder charge..I use the pellets,so I can re use them.
