Need suggestions on a device I can use to keep deer out of a feild that can be seen from road.I have thought about a alarm clock set at prime times and runs on batteries to go off and keep them run out of feild. The alarm clocks i have looked at just keep going off and dont have a set amount of time to ring. I done tried the obvious answer. I hung a treestand right on the feild this usally works but not this time.LOL

1. Mix up some bloodmeal (blood and corn meal) and distribute it around the field. Deer are terrified of blood as it indicates predators.
2. (slightly more geeked out) Put some firecrackers on a timer/detonator.
3. Hire some kids, day laborers, or better your force your children to do jumping jacks in the middle of the field at peek hours. You could even sit in your car and blow a whistle to give commands.
4. My personal favorite solution: Blow up the field with napalm!

I like the last one but dont have any napalm. Need something you cant see real good but makes noise.Dont want to run them out of the country just to the back of the bean feild.

Nothing will keep deer from going where they want to go.
The best practice is to plant a visual barrier between the field and the road.

I can give you a suggestion on what alot of landowners do here to keep all the roadhunters from shooting deer out of their yards and fields. Im not sure its legal though, actually pretty sure it aint, but it does work to keep deer off the side of the road, at least in my low density area. Basically involves shooting them in the butt with a pellet rifle from a truck window all through the year. This method has saved ALOT of deers lives in my area. Its either resort to things like that or look at all the dead deer laying in peoples fields thats jsut been ground checked for horns and left.
