each season, how many antlered deer (that you recognize)do you see more than once, how many do you see more than a few times and how many do you see quite often during one season?
I rarely see the same bucks more than once, if that. Most bucks that I kill , I have never seen them before......
If I do see a buck more than once, it is usually a young buck.
deer past 1.5 ...hardly ever.
comments and thoughts......??
thanks

Same here. I've got a cowhorn that's been getting a little bigger for the last two years ,haven't seen him this year yet, but if I do he's going in the freezer.

Last year I had a small buck that would almost seem like it was looking for me..I could count on seeing it almost every trip... ..the same deer from year to year are harder for me to keep up with...I saw 12 or 14 differant bucks last year but none physicly stood out from the rest in antler characterics other than over all size...which wasn't a huge gap...the doe groups are easier for me to keep up with...

Around the rut for a few days I usually see the same deer on my property. Then around fields I see the same on some of the public bow only land I hunt. Your right though. Older than 1.5 I typically only see the buck once or twice...what's your point? I can think of several just wondering what connections your making.

Seeing the same yearling buck is fairly common on my place. We often see a particular yearling 4 or 5 times during the season. But seeing the same 2 1/2 year-old buck more than once is rare, although last year we had a fork-horn 2 1/2 year-old that was passed 6 times. That's a record.
Bucks 3 1/2 or older are almost never seen more than once.

Saw this guy three times last year. First time was before the season when he was shedding velvet. Rode up to within 40 yards from him in the woods on the 4 wheeler. He might have been affected (calmed)by the velvet that was completely covering one eye. Next time I saw him was in a field, again from my 4 wheeler. He got a pass because I don't shoot from the 4 wheeler. The third and final time, he was in out in a field chasing does in the middle of the day in late December. Snuck up to the edge of the field and dropped him at 120 steps.
Based on the antler configuration and the good looks I got at him, I'm positive it was the same deer. Didn't get him aged, but probably 2.5 y/o.
