I have had close calls before but this one will make your skin crawl! Saturday morning my hunting partner and i were raking some dead grass from one of our food plots. I had just run the disc over it and the dead yellow grass was too thick to continue with planting. Both of us were well protected with snake boots! Both of us were wearing leather gloves. As I reached down to pick up another load of grass I turned and started walking toward the edge of the plot. Just as I began to through the pile of grass a copper head crawled out of the middle of the pile and slithered down my arm and onto the ground. I think the only reason he did not strike was because the disc had injured him. After several choice words (can't repeat them on here) I took his head off! Moral to the story, just because you have your snake boots on don't mean you can be any less cautious!
Be careful out there guys!

i would think it would be more likely to strike if injured unless the injury prevented it.
