Thanks everyone for the in site. After the way I got mauled by skeeters last fall, I was probably going to use it no matter what, just as a few of the previous posters indicated they would do.

I believe it may have a "chimney effect" takes away much of the scent with the rising heat.
I wonder, has anyone killed a mature buck while using the ThermaCell?

I agree that the "heated fumes" go up.......and may help somewhat diguise the odor......BUT......if a deer gets downwind of you, nothing else matters....you will get busted...IMO.
