I was squirrel hunting yesterday, and I used a thermacell for the first time. Very pleased with its performance, but I noticed it produces an obvious scent. I was planning on using it during early season bow hunting. Is this smell tolerated by the deer? Are there other inserts to use that are specifically designed for use when deer hunting? Thanks!

I've yet to see any deer react to it.

I saw deer react to it but I was on the ground and it was a doe. Can't sat that I've had many smell it while on stand but the way the wind works up there I'd say by the time it hits the ground I wouldn't be able to see their reaction either way.

I can't remember the plant but the smell is from some sort of plant that deer are suppose to be familiar with.
