Just wondering what are your goals for the up coming season. My goals are: To harvest at least one deer with each weapon (archery,M/L,rifle). To harvest at least one mature buck. To spent time hunting with my two daughters. And to hunt with my dad more this year. Hope everyone has a great season this year and that you meet your goals whatever they may be.

I Think i am just going to focus on enjoying time in the woods and hopefully I will kill a couple deer. Of course i would like to kill one with each weapon too and I have a CB and a compound, so one with each of them.

I don't know how much time I'll get to hunt. We have a baby due October 14. I was wanting to lease a place this year but with the added expense of a baby and not knowing how much I would get to hunt it didn't happen. I guess my main goal would be to try and have some fun because I don't think I am going to have much success.

Yep and the wife will be in tow this year. She has hunted a lot before, but she usually hunts with her dad. This year we will be hunting a new lease. So it will be just me and her. I want to see how well she does. If she does as good as excpected I would like to do some filming later in the season.

Oh and a 400" 72pointer I'v been seeing. I'm gonna shoot him with my bow at 110yds balancing on my head.

Generally, it would be these three. Anything else is a bonus.
Have fun.
Enjoy the woods/fields.
Shoot a deer with my 7mm.

I say this every year, but I also plan to:
Break from the stand and try still hunting/hunting from the ground.
Try to hunt public land a few times for change of scenery.

Tracker, maybe we oughta start a spear season like the one they have in Alabama \:\)

I want to put my father in law onto a good one, we hunt his place in Michigan but he's 85 and really needs a spotter in the blind.

Aside from that... take deer in Tennessee and Michigan, fill the freezer, get better at hunting and enjoy the outdoors.

Put some meat in the freezer and have fun doing it.

Always to put meat in the freezer......
then to take at least an 8 pt or better 16 or more on the spread.
Same as every year for the last 7 or more years.

- Get my mom on her first buck; for the last three years she has passed up buck after buck because she only wants to shoot an "old one" for her first. So in other words convince her to just shoot one or lie about it's age, and hope it stays still long enough to do so! \:D

-Harvest a buck I have let walk for the last 3 years; could careless what weapon I have in my hand it will all be just as sweet.
