I did all any scouting I needed to do in Feb and March of last year. I won't step into the woods until opening day. IMO more people screw up their seasons by wandering around prior to the season opening up. You should already know all the possible food sources and travel routes on the property you hunt.

Guess Im done ground pounding. Mostly all I do at this point is glass fields and look at topo's. I am going to scout the area my son got drawn on for a juvy hunt in Oct and find a couple of places to set up.

You should already know all the possible food sources and travel routes on the property you hunt.
Depends on the size of the property and how many years one has hunted it.
