I have 2 deer mounts, 2 turkey fans and about 10 family hunting photos that include my great grandfather, grandfather, my dad and my boys. I smile each time I look at that wall. Why because it is part of who I am and where I come from. How I live my life, How I raise my boys, How I treat my marriage and how I treat others well thats where God comes in. The hunting part is just part of the living life.

Do you think that Tim Tebow doesn't have his football trophies displayed in a room of his home.....?
Sometimes, people take this sort of thing way too far......
Worship how you think is right and let others do the same thing....judgement should be left to God, not man.
thanks.....and good luck with this....

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your weapons—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

From the heart, I feel I miss too many Sundays at church to go sit in the deer woods. However I feel closer to God in the deer woods than some days at church. I keep a small Bible in my pack and I do read in my stand. I talk to God more in my stand than during any other activity I do. I really feel hunting brings me closer to God in many ways. I have lots of deer racks in my home, I also have my Bible out on my table. I enjoy sitting back and relaxing looking at the deer on my wall and at the same time thanking God for the blessing of meat on the table and the memory of the hunt!

I couldn't agree more.

Dropping my 5 yr old off to his Sunday School classroom gives me a feeling I can't explain. Especially him looking forward to it as the family is getting ready on Sunday a.m. Teaching every 3rd Sunday School lesson in my adult class stresses me out, but it is enjoyable as well.

He must have a good Sunday School.
As a kid, I despised Sunday School.

When I was a kid, I only went to Sunday School in hopes of donuts and juice LOL.
But as the age increases, the woods are the closest thing to Heaven for me. That's when I really get the peace of mind to enfoy life and talk to God.
