Yep, i see less numbers as a whole than i was seeing in 02 and 03....but little at that...i AM Seeing many more bucks than i have ever seen in my life and killing them also. I have averaged an 8 pt or better for the last 10 years of hunting...something i never accomplished in the first 25 years of hunting! Things could hardly be better!!! Love what we have!! I dont understand that logic.

I have seen a few trail pics from a few friends that you would not believe. They are not members of TnDeer, but they have showed me their pics of a few 165+ bucks.
Not to say that they will kill them, but these deer are here right here in our state and the "trend" continues.

TN can produce a bunch of bucks in the 150-170 range. However, 170+ is a problem. Not so many.

The "problem" of the number of 170"+ bucks in Tennessee is not really a problem, in my mind. The "problem" is killing one of these bucks.
I know we don't have the numbers of 170+ bucks in our state, as compared to other states, but as others have mentioned, they are much harder to kill here because of the terrain and other factors.
For a buck to reach those numbers here, they have to live a few more years. That is what the real "problem" is. If you add on the already mentioned factors, a 5.5 buck is extremely hard to kill......anywhere in the world.
