Saw on the news the weather is going to be un-real the weekend with some cool temps, im sure the deer will be up on their feet. How many of you guys are gonna do some last minute scouting before season gets fired up?

Lookin' forward to the cool temps and will definitely be out there. This ain't even close to last minute though. Good scouting time hasn't even started yet. The week before the season opens is when it gets good.

You got that right, i wont know where to hang a stand until a couple days before it opens, you wont know what white oaks they are hittin until right up to opening weekend unless you've hunted that land for years and years, I usually dont hunt the first week anyway unless the weather is good or I have a particular buck patterned, its usually too hot, I havent even started shooting my recurve yet but I may this weekend

No way for me. Now is the prime time to stay out of the woods.

Exactly.
I finished my scouting last March.
Fastest way to drive deer off their normal routines is to scout just before you hunt.

I will be out bright and early. I need to find about 3 more areas and trees to hunt the first part of the year. I tend to bounce around a lot early season.

Absolutely not true. Every deer I've killed in the last ten years has been in a spot I scouted just hours or maybe a day before.

To be consistently succesful with close range weapons like a bow, you have to constantly fine tune your sets. I too have killed many many deer after only finding the right place hours before hunting! Its all in how you do your scouting!
