I walked it twice last yr and seen a doe both times.... I think the regs are bow, MZ, and shotgun...... No rifles... The only problem I could see was maybe hikes or people walking there dogs through there....

I live less than 1/2 mile from the forks. There are certainly some deer in there. I took a nice old 8 pointer last year just outside the WMA boundary. The problem that most people have with hunting there is they think the deer are scarce. This is true to a point. As soon as squirrel and dove seasons get going the gun shots are focused near the entrance where the fields are and the deer push back to the other side and onto private property. The does will move back in there after things settle down a little and by November most hunters will have given up because they think there are no deer in there. Its only 400 acres so get in there and scout. There is plenty of deer sign if you know where to look. Get back to the thicker backside/middle and look around, you will find some sign. Wait till November it you want a chance at a decent buck. Thats when the boys from who knows where will so up to breed the does that live in that area. Good luck.

Could you guys please send messages like this in a PM? 400 acres is not much land and this area is somewhat left alone during deer season. A whole lotta lurkers on this site and if the deer hunters are as stupid as the dove hunters on that place, it won't take long before somebody gets shot on that small place because with a message like this, every tom, dick or harry is gonna read it and the place will be crawling with inexperienced hunters. I've seen this happen way too many times on forums before. Just trying to help everyone out.
